Immunology and Microbiology

The Department focuses on four main areas: Bacteriology, Immunology, Virology and Medical Parasitology. The work is carried out by five specialized research centers and eight individual research groups.

We collaborate closely with clinics and hospitals translating research into healthcare innovations, and partner with several African countries to tackle global health issues. 

Education is a key part of our mission covering Bachelor, Master and PhD-courses in immunology, microbiology and related fields.
